Peafowl

Characteristic

Peafowl are flying bird, in the genus pavo of the pheasant family, Phasianidae. The male peafowl, called peacock, the female called peahen and the offspring called peachick. About the Indian Peafowl, the male peafowl has iridescent blue-green or green colored plumage. The adult female peafowl is grey and/or brown. Peachicks can be between yellow and a tawny color green peafowl appears different from the Indian Peafowl. The male has a green and gold plumage as well as an erect crest. The wings are black with a sheen of blue. Unlike the Indian Peafowl, the Green Peahen is similar to the male, only having shorter upper tail coverts and less iridescence.
White peacocks are not albinos or leucistics. Albino animals and birds have a complete lack of color and red or pink eyes. White peafowl have blue eyes.  Chicks are born yellow and become white as they mature,
Their behaviour is they are forest birds that nest on the ground but roost in trees. They are terrestrial feeders. Peafowl are omnivorous and eat most plant parts, flower petals, seed heads, insects and other arthropods, reptile and amphibians

The unique things

The unique things from peafowl are they are believed to be polygamous. In the wild, male peafowl generally have 2 – 5 females. Peafowll have significant need for companionship, if they’re live alone, they can get heartbroken. The beautiful tail of peacock are best seen when they fans its tail, and the tail use to get an attention of the peahen.

What I learn

Peafowl are just like human, it proved that all of organisms couldn’t live alone, they need friends. And just like peafowl, almost all of the organisms are need friend, either in physically or mentally, either in the same gender or different gender
